Dolls Best Deck
So as any reasonable person can tell, the single best archetype is clearly Shaddolls.
How do I know this?
But, that doesn't stop me from thinking they are the best, and here's why.
Fusion Summon
So I love me Purple cards. I think as far as summoning mechanics, it goes Face-Down, Fusion, Normal, XYZ, Links, Synchro, Ritual, and Pend. In that order, fight me.
But also because they are a fusion archetype, they get access to Polymerization effects. This makes them good board breakers against hard to deal with monsters via Super Poly. It also means that because Konami likes us, they give us in archetype Fusion spells. Namely:
Shaddoll Fusion- Which let's me summon using materials from the deck. More importantly, triggering the Doll GY effects.
Unfortunately, it also means that you open yourself up to Ash. But that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.
El Shaddoll Fusion- One of my favorite things to do in Magic is play on my opponents' turn. This allows me to do that. Draw step, summon a Winda, have fun with your one Special Summon friendo.
GY Effects
I mentioned GY effects. All main deck Shaddolls have a neat clause that when they go to the Graveyard from a card effect, they do something.
In addition, the Fusions have GY effects too. Most of them anyway. And it's the same effect to
buyback a Spell or Trap in the yard. But that's value, free value.
Flavor
Often in YGO, the stories aren't exactly very obvious about what is going on. But the Dolls, you have some idea what is happening. Okay, I admit, it's hard to follow, but from the looks of it an all consuming evil is converting characters which already existed, Gusto's, Ritual Beast, Gem Knights, into the Shaddolls.
Beyond that, El Shaddai is Hebrew for God Almighty and therefore implies that the Fusions, the boss monsters, are gods. That would explain how El Shaddoll Shekhinaga can sit on Qliphort Towers, a card that warped the format it was in, as a chair. Because she's a big tiddy goth GF.
